Hellfire Film Festival is a Folkestone-based multi-event organisation focusing on film. Its flagship event is a monthly screening of short films where the audience votes for their favourite film through a selection of different categories.
How we helped
Hellfire Film Festival required not only organisation to put the event together from sourcing and encouraging films to be submitted, they also required promotion of the events.
To effectively manage the Hellfire Film Festival we needed to break down how we were targeting each stage.
Submissions are made not just locally but from all over the world, to raise awareness of the deadline date a mix of Twitter interactions, teaming up with other film events and Facebook posts all build momentum and keep the ever growing community growing.
To further encourage new talent every month the website is updated with an interview from the filmmaking community, providing insights into where the filmmakers gained their inspiration and what wisdom they wished to pass on to others.
All entrants are invited to attend and are informed of the winners just after the announcement via social media and an article also follows.
Continuing the trend of social media, Hellfire heavily promotes their event through localised Facebook groups and the local filmmaking and creative community.
Hellfire Film Festival has had over 2700+ film submissions from 139 countries with some films being submitted from Emmy award winning directors and has been running the competition format since the 17th August.
Prior to the competition format, Hellfire showcased an animated short called Rays Big Idea from the Aardman animations the creators of the Wallace and (more cheese) Gromit franchise.
In all Hellfire Film Festival has been growing and has even more exciting plans for the future.
We are also Hellfire Film Festival’s inaugural main sponsor.
